CFPA Minneapolis

CFPA Mpls is a 501c3 organization that provides programs, resources, and staff support to engage artists and youth in cross-cultural community development. CFPA Mpls creates programs, partnerships, and opportunities at the Center for Performing Arts at 38th and Pleasant Avenue in South Minneapolis to meet these organizational goals. The context of this work is the Center for Performing Arts' broader community of professionals and teaching artists who offer classes and workshops in a range of forms and cultural traditions.

CFPA Mpls' mission is to build relationships across communities with arts and culture as its central vehicle, to engage artists and youth in community development and eliminate prejudice and discrimination by generating opportunities for cross-cultural exchange; and to provide quality arts education and create access to essential arts resources for youth, artists and culture bearers, thereby ensuring the healthy growth and sustainability of local communities.

Among other community-engaged ventures, CFPA Mpls produces an Artist Residency program, and a Performance Festival In service of its mission.
