Centennial Event

Beginnings, portals, doorways, entries, starting points. 

A performance celebration commemorating the 100th anniversary of CFPA's original home, the Pleasant Avenue convent.

Sept 23, 2023 6-10pm

Originally built in 1923 by the Incarnation Catholic Church as a convent for the nuns who taught in the school across the street, the building later supported a women’s shelter and since 1995, has served the community as the Center for Performing Arts.

The Celebration Includes food and drink provided by Ichigo Crepes and Cafe Ena/Meson, and performances by:

* Mahto Peta Toispaye Drum Group

* Prairie Fire Lady Choir

* Ikidowin Youth Acting Ensemble

* Brass Solidarity

And featuring new works by CFPA’s 2023 Resident Artists:

* Kerry Parker Dance with Gemma Isaacson, Arimee Gambill, Alejandra Iannone, and Elayna Waxse.

* D. Allen

* Cooper, Melvin & Young

Opening at 6pm with Mahto Peta Toispaye Drum Group.  Additional performances every 30 minutes. Tickets required.
