Mahto Peta Toispaye Drum group

This group joined CFPA for a private Land Honoring Ceremony just over a year ago, and we’re thrilled to welcome them back to perform.

Ragamala Dance Company

Ragamala Dance Company members Chaitra Chandrashekar and Namitha Narayan, two members of Ragamala’s apprentice ensemble performing a piece called Thillana. Choreographed by Ranee and Aparna’s teacher - the internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Alarmél Valli, of Chennai, India - Thillana is a joyous piece full of dynamic movements, intricate footwork, and complex rhythmic patterns. The piece ends with a short hymn to the Hindu God, Sri Krishna.

Roberta Carlson, Composer

Roberta Carlson is an award-winning composer, pianist, and lyricist who has arranged, composed, and performed music nationally for many theaters’ shows including CFPA’s new tenant the Illusion Theater.  Thrilled to welcome her to this celebration.

Brass Solidarity Band: Music for the Movement 

Brass Solidarity is street music for the people, by the people - built out of the tradition of resilience and community fortitude through music. Brass Solidarity is whoever gathers to play, just show up with your horn! This emerging musical project is open to anyone who wants to build on the music of the streets, the civil rights movement and our own cities needs.

Duniya Drum and Dance

Rehearsing and teaching class at CFPA, we are pleased to welcome a performance by members of this West African Rhythm and Dance Company.
