Urban Retreat Live/Work Loft

cfpa hosts short-term stays for traveling artists and visitors to Minneapolis through Airbnb.

Stay in a 4-bedroom 2,600 square-foot historic apartment on the top floor of a community committed to building connection and understanding across lived experiences and artistic disciplines, in one of the most central neighborhoods of Minneapolis.

cfpa is located within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, and a food co-op — and a short bike or bus ride to lakes, the airport, downtown, and museums, theaters, and stadiums. Whether you need a space to rest, transition, or practice your art, we invite you to stay in one of our private bedrooms and immerse yourself in this vibrant, welcoming community.

This top floor loft at the Center for Performing Arts is an open, comfortable living space for traveling artists, students, businesspeople and creatives of all kinds.

Enjoy a spacious bedroom with a comfy bed, large desk and copious storage. Guests share access to a large kitchen, light-filled living room/dining room area, bathroom, and outdoor patio area with picnic tables, next to the Kingfield Community Garden.

Below the apartment, you’ll find three floors of private studio space used by creative practitioners — including bodyworkers, music teachers, dance companies, writers, and neighborhood organizations — as well as two active rehearsal studios, which host numerous daily classes and rehearsals across a range of practices (from yoga to modern dance to experimental theater).

Guests can . . .

attend drop-in classes in practices like yoga, NIA, Zumba, ballroom dance

schedule a one-on-one session with one of our resident bodyworkers

book space in one of our gorgeous rehearsal studios

. . . .all without leaving the building.

When you stay here, you’re making an investment in this community, as the money you spend here allows cfpa to keep these spaces and our programming affordable to our community. Additionally, 5% of your room fee is deposited into our Artist Development Fund, which cfpa uses to directly pay and provide resources for artists to develop their work.
