Presentation Opportunities

cfpa is always seeking new ways to support artists at all stages of development as they deepen their creative practice. In pursuit of supporting individual focuses and processes, cfpa hosts one spring residency and one fall residency each year.

The goal of all cfpa residencies is:

  • To advance the project of cfpa by supporting and promoting the development of artists at all career stages;
  • To support the building of relationships between artists, across different disciplines, and across experience levels;
  • To bring visibility to the vital performance work happening throughout our community;
  • To create new ways of sparking engagement amongst works of art, artists and audiences;
  • To experiment with building and working within a viable alternative economic model for sustaining art practice as an essential element of healthy community.

Working in Process

Twice a year, cfpa invites applications for a short-term residency with up to three artists/companies at a time. cfpa offers free rehearsal space to the artists, provides facilitation and mentorship, and hosts a public performance and facilitated audience conversation.
